What you’ll do

• Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, transfers, and dressing.
• Support individuals with daily living activities and promote their independence.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure individualized care plans are being maintained.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as hoyer lifts, commodes, wheelchairs, and walkers to ensure safe transfers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment while following infection control protocols.

Basic qualifications

• At least 3 months of (verifiable) similar in-home care experience (ex. nursing home, home health, hospice, in-home care agency, rehab, assisted living, etc).
• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Direct Support Worker (DSW), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or equivalent caregiving experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Background in critical care, hospice care, or geriatrics is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic life support (BLS) certification.
